In Malloa, in Libertador General Bernardo O´Higgins Region, is located the small town of Pelequén, which has become an exponent attractive of the Chilean handcraft.
This town of nice climate, is also a fertile land for the wine industry and, annually, sticks to one of its oldest traditions, Santa Rosa de Lima festivity, which statue is venerated in the town’s Sanctuary.
The craft skills of the people from Pelequén can be seen on small stores and rustic workshops, where it is possible to purchase furniture and willow and poplar wood ornaments, and its typical sculptures of pink stone.
